CGOA 2024 Chapter Challenge - Shawls Wrapped in Love
This year CGOA partnered with Care Wear Volunteers, Inc. for its 2024 Chapter Challenge.
From March 18th to July 21st, 465 shawls were made by 91 CGOA members from 8 participating chapters. Two individuals excelled in their efforts, each making over 30 shawls. Shawls were donated to 35 facilities or organizations across 15 states in the US and in Germany and the UK.

1st Place winning $100 - South Mountain Crocheters, Frederick, MD
With 4.67 Shawls per CGOA Member
2nd Place winning $75 - Knotty Froggers, Belton,TX
With 4.10 Shawls per CGOA Member
3rd Place winning $50 - Stitchcraft Crochet, a Virtual Chapter
With 3.95 Shawls per CGOA Member

2023 Chapter Challenge
Soap S.A.C.Ks - Supporting a Community with Kindness
For our 2023 Chapter Challenge, CGOA partnered with the Supporting a Community with Kindness (S.A.C.K.) Foundation.
From April 3rd to July 23rd, over 2895 soap sacks were made by 70 individuals from the 11 participating chapters. 9 individuals from 4 chapters excelled in their efforts, making over 100 soap sacks each. Soap sacks were donated across 13 states to over 31 food pantries, hospitals, shelters, and other local organizations and facilities.

With 1079 Soap Sacks + 679.77 Bonus points = 1758.77 Total points
2nd Place winning $75- Stitchcraft Crochet Virtual Chapter, (headquarters in TX)
With 749 Soap Sacks + 749 Bonus Points = 1498 Total points
3rd Place winning $50 - South Mountain Crocheters, Frederic MD
W ith 241 Soap Sacks + 200.3 Bonus Points = 441.03 Total Points
